Doggy treats!

  Grandma found this awesome dog treat recipe. Bailey loves them and when he runs out and has to eat the normal kind he turns his nose up. I tried one and they almost tasted like a protein bar! I hope you enjoy this yummy, easy recipe:)

Peanut Butter and Applesauce Dog Cookies

Ingredients

• 3 cups flour
• 2 cups oatmeal
• 1 cup peanut butter (no toxic xylitol)
• 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• ¼ cup olive oil

Directions

1. Heat your oven to 350 F.
2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except olive oil.
3. Add as much olive oil as needed to create a dough that holds its shape.
4. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to ¼-inch thick.
5. Using a cookie cutter, cut the dough into shapes and place them on a nonstick cookie sheet.
6. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
7. Cool on a wire rack.
